NATURAL TYPEFACE
This project involved creating a typeface from A–Z using natural forms while also developing a booklet that told the story behind the design. I based my typeface, Dilapidated, on cracks found throughout my hometown, using them as both visual inspiration and conceptual meaning.
The letterforms reflect the town’s history of decay, neglect, and hardship, while the booklet expands on how those damaged surfaces became a way to represent both the scars of the past and the character of the place itself.
